I'm Ann Chong (Voon Ann Chong), a Malaysian-born Chicago-based cinematographer, camera assistant and storyboard artist.
Stories that move me have always been the driving force that got me creating.
I enjoy storytelling using different medias and have been using creative ways to tell stories for brands, independent projects, documentaries and narrative since 2012. During my days with MOB Digital Media and Leo Burnett, I've worked with notable clients such as Chili's, DECORTÉ, Clarks, Kit Kat, Taylor's University, etc.
Immersing myself in film is my way of connecting with people and the world. I want to be able to capture the emotions and empathy I feel when I hear a story. I hope that through my art, it will become a bridge for people to be more understanding towards one another.
